Drill is a style of trap music that originated in Chicago in the early 2010s and has since spawned a UK sub-genre which blends Chicago's dark and ominous trap-influenced beats with UK grime. The UK drill sound has gone on to influence New York artists such as Pop Smoke, Fivio Foreign, and even artists such as Drake and Travis Scott have experimented with the sound.
